Entertainment in Kalgoorlie

The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder has a buzzing entertainment scene, with more restaurants and hotels per capita than any other regional centre in the state.

Kalgoorlie offers a variety of award winning restaurants offering international cuisine, including Chinese, Thai, Indian and Italian restaurants, as well as modern Australian cuisine.

Both major supermarket chains Coles and Woolworths have stores in Kalgoorlie's central business district.

For more shopping variety, the K-Mart on Hannan Street has been established for more than a decade, and in 2005 Target opened its doors.

The Kalgoorlie Central expansion, completed in 2009, features a Woolworths supermarket, several specialty stores and restaurants, and a new post office.

There is also a cinema complex in Davidson Street, with 3 screens playing the latest blockbuster movies.

Entertainment in Hannans

Hannan Street is home to many of the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder’s thriving small businesses. In 3 central blocks there is myriad of retail clothing outlets and eateries, as well as award-winning hairdressers and beauticians.

Hannans Boulevard Shopping Centre is the retail hub for the northern suburbs of Kalgoorlie and contains a Coles store, hairdresser, chemist, beautician, liquor store and other specialty shops.

To the north of Hannan Street, along Maritana Street, is the Hannans IGA, which is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week—provides a valuable service to those working shifts in the mining industry.

The IGA Lionel Street Markets are also open 7 days a week, and offer fresh produce and a large range of items.

Entertainment in Boulder

Burt Street, the main street of Boulder, also features a number of retail outlets for day-to-day services including a newsagent, laundry service, mini-supermarket and several banking agencies.

After dark, the street comes alive, with hotels and restaurants in abundance, all offering outstanding food, beverages and service.

Tom & Fred's and Santa Maria Delicatessens are also open 7 days a week, for your convenience.

Entertainment in other suburbs

The western suburbs of Kalgoorlie, including O’Connor, Sommerville and Hampton Heights have their own shopping complex comprising of an IGA supermarket, liquor store, and the potential for niche specialty shops.
