Gift and Contribution to Travel Registers

On 4 March 2016, the Local Government Act 1995 was amended by the City of Perth Bill 2015.  The amendments relate to the procedures for disclosure of gifts and/or contributions to travel which may be received from time to time by elected Councillors and certain Council employees

Any elected Councillors as well as designated employees of the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder (those employees who have been delegated duties or powers by the Chief Executive Officer) are now required to:

  • disclose to the CEO any gifts of greater than $200 in value within 10 days of accepting that gift (under section 5.82 of the Local Government Act 1995); and

  • disclose to the CEO any contributions to travel greater than $200 in value within 10 days of receiving the contribution (under section 5.83 of the Local Government Act 1995).Prior to these amendments, these particular disclosures were required on an annual basis.

The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder will update this information on the website at the beginning of each month, to include any disclosures received in the immediately preceding month.. 

The Register of Gifts and Contributions to Travel is also available for viewing at the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder Administration Building during normal business hours, Monday to Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm.
