Kalgoorlie-Boulder Growth Plan
The Kalgoorlie-Boulder Growth Plan is the final plan to be released from the first stage of the Regional Development Council’s Regional Centres Development Plan, and will drive the economic growth of Kalgoorlie Boulder to strengthen its position within the WA economy.
About the Growth Plan
The Kalgoorlie-Boulder Growth Plan is an initiative of the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder in partnership with the Goldfields-Esperance Development Commission and other key stakeholders, including the State Government, particularly the Department of Regional Development, the State Planning Commission and Landcorp, the Kalgoorlie-Boulder Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Chamber of Minerals and Energy, Regional Development Australia Goldfields Esperance, the Goldfields Land and Sea Council, key local businesses and mining companies and the local community.
The Growth Plan is focused on developing partnerships between the private and public sectors; responding innovatively to barriers to economic growth; and translating visions and aspirations into potential investment, jobs and greater quality of life.
Substantial community engagement was carried out as part of the Growth Plan development, and the plan provides a clear direction for economic development and diversification, which has been driven by community feedback, and will continue to be driven by industry champions from within the community, as the City pursues the focus areas of the Growth Plan.
