Arts Centre Now Open Saturdays

Catch up on all the latest news in the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder.
‚ÄčThis weekend as you wander around the Kalgoorlie CBD taking in the exciting new Heartwalk murals, don’t forget to pop in to the Goldfields Arts Centre, which is currently trialling opening on Saturdays from 10am until 2pm.
Visitors can book tickets at the box office, enjoy the gallery exhibitions and take in the stunning display of 10,000 hand woven stars which were created by local schools and community groups as part of the One Million Stars to End Violence project.
Goldfields Arts Centre Team Leader Dev Lengjel encouraged people to stop by the Arts Centre as they did the Heartwalk trail.
“We’re ideally located between the murals on Egan and McDonald Streets, the mural in the laneway just behind the Arts Centre and the murals on Boulder Road, so we are a perfect half way stop,” he said.
“Coming in to look at an exhibition or buy tickets face to face is something that most people don’t have time to do during the week, so we are trialling Saturday opening hours so everyone will be able to experience what the Arts Centre has to offer.
“Pop in and get a coffee from the local coffee van, enjoy some art and book some last minute tickets for tomorrow night’s Kasey Chambers concert. We look forward to seeing you!”
The Goldfields Arts Centre is located on the corner of Cassidy and Cheetham Streets Kalgoorlie.
