Mayor John Bowler said Australia Day was the ideal time to recognise the individuals and community groups who made a difference to our community.

“It’s important that as a community we recognise the people who really make a difference in our City,” he said.

“Kalgoorlie-Boulder has a long and proud history of acknowledging people who contribute to our unique and diverse community, and in the past we have recognised some very remarkable people in our Australia Day Awards.

“I urge all residents to nominate any individual or community group who deserve public recognition for their achievements. We are a proud City and it is vital we continue the tradition of recognising those who help make Kalgoorlie-Boulder a great place to live.”

The Australia Day Awards will be presented during the annual Big Aussie Breakfast at Centennial Park on Australia Day, Thursday 26 January 2017.
