The Goldfields Arts Centre welcomes new Team Leader
The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder will have a renewed focus on arts and culture with the commencement of Goldfields Arts Centre Team Leader Dev Lengjel today.
The Team Leader position will revitalise the Goldfields Arts Centre by bringing the community together through both visual and performing art and by contributing to our growing arts and culture scene.
City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder CEO John Walker said the new role would be focusing on engaging the broader community in arts and cultural activities.
"We have a newly refurbished venue, with gallery space, a great theatre and smaller ensemble spaces, and we want to see it develop into the heart of a thriving cultural precinct, especially when the Lord Forrest redevelopment is finished in April," he said.
"Dev is a highly acclaimed artist in his own right, and he has vast experience managing arts centres both in remote areas of Australia, and in major cities around the world, including Berlin. I'm excited to have him on board, he has a brief to shake things up at the Arts Centre and I think he will definitely fulfill it."
