Young people from across Kalgoorlie-Boulder can celebrate the end of the school year with a splash at the annual Schools Out Pool Party at the Goldfields Oasis.
The Kalgoorlie-Boulder Youth Council and the Goldfields Oasis are inviting all young people aged 12 to 18 to this free event, which will run from 5pm to 8pm on Friday 16 December.
City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder CEO John Walker said the City was working to provide a range of activities to engage with youth from all backgrounds in the City.
“Throughout the year, the City’s Youth Services area has run the L.E.A.D. program, The Spot during each of the three school holidays, as well as coordinating a number of workshops and competitions with Skateboarding WA for young people in Kalgoorlie-Boulder,” he said.
“There will be plenty of activities at the Pool Party to keep everyone entertained, including giant pool inflatables, aqua volleyball and live music by local acts DJ Castle and DJ Vanilla.
“The outdoor waterslide running throughout the event, and students will be able to purchase a waterslide pass for $6.
“The Kalgoorlie-Boulder Youth Council will be selling delicious goodies including slushies, sausages and lolly bags at the Schools Out Pool Party.”
All the money raised by the Youth Council will be donated to a local charity in 2017.
The Schools Out Pool Party is a smoke, drug and alcohol free event. Event organisers reserve the right to check bags and deny entry. No pass outs will be issued.
