A budget that delivers for our community.
Council endorsed the 2024/25 Budget at this month's Council meeting with a clear focus on the completion of projects and delivering on community priorities.

Mayor's Message
This year, Council has endorsed an ambitious and community-focused budget that will deliver numerous projects and services prioritised by our residents.
We have a clear focus and are making progress on completing priority projects to meet community needs. We remain committed to advancing this year’s $101 million capital works program, which includes essential improvements to our roads and footpaths, community facilities and sewer network to support future development. Additionally, we are
investing $2 million in community safety and crime prevention initiatives, including the expansion of our Community Safety Model.
This year’s budget is as brave as it is balanced. The budget provides a projected surplus of $3 million, reflecting the City’s improved financial management and commitment to financial sustainability. The City has a long-term view towards financial planning to ensuring we’re prepared for the future replacement and renewal of essential community assets and infrastructure.
From initial planning to final endorsement, our community has been at the forefront of this budget process. Thank you for your valuable feedback over the past year. We remain committed to engaging with our residents to shape the future vision for our city. This budget reflects the prioritisation of investments that will make a difference in the lives of our residents.
We are proud of the essential services provided around the clock, from waste and recycling collections to maintaining our roads, parks, and open spaces.
The combined efforts of our staff and Elected Members will have a positive impact on our community over the next 12 months and beyond. Thank you to everyone involved.
