Hands on training:

  • Learn from experienced Rangers and gain practical experience in handling dog, cats and other animals daily.
  • Interpreting and enforcing relevant Acts, Regulations, local laws and policies in your day-to-day duties.
  • Actively conducting investigations, gathering evidence, taking statements and prepare briefs.

Work Life Balance:

  • The position is primarily Monday to Friday but also requires weekends, public holidays and on call (after hours) – on a rotating basis.

Who we are looking for:

Ranger/Community Ranger:

  • Highly motivated individual, who has the ability to deal with challenging customers at times, whilst having a strong passion and commitment for customer service.
  • Strong team player with proven ability to work autonomously with initiative, forward thinking and capacity to solve problems and make decisions;
  • High level communication skills, negotiation and conflict resolution skills and interpersonal skills including ability to liaise effectively and confidently with internal and external customers and demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal clients and/or business units and external stakeholder
  • Excellent administrative and organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Present professionalism at all times whilst reflecting the City’s core values and ethics

Salary and Benefits

Remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. This position ranges between $71,796 - $78,382 plus additional loadings.
