About the Library

The William Grundt Memorial Library is a meeting place for all residents and visitors that is welcoming, non-exclusive and facilitates lifelong learning and resource provision, through a range of services.  The Library is located at the C.Y. O'Connor Precinct on the corner of Roberts and President Street, Kalgoorlie.

The Library facilities include:

  • Children’s area
  • Young adult area
  • Study tables and group seating
  • Coffee Machine
  • Comfortable reading areas
  • Disabled toilets
  • Baby Change table

The courtyard features a Sensory Garden, which is a lovely area to sit and read. When the garden is producing help yourself to the fresh fruit and vegetables growing there too!  There is also a children’s play equipment and a green grassed area outside the library for children to enjoy.

The provision of Public Library Services in Western Australia is a joint partnership between the State Government and Local Government Authorities.

Monday to Friday: 9.00am to 5.00pm

Saturday: 9.00am – 12.00pm

Sunday: Closed

Public Holidays: Closed
