Goldfields Art Centre

Owned by the Perth Theatre Trust and proudly operated by the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder, the Goldfields Arts Centre presents an annual program of events that provide unique cultural experiences and opportunities for residents and visitors alike.

Stroll upstairs to the A-class gallery, home to year-round exhibitions and public programs showcasing works of local artists, national and state touring exhibitions, and the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder’s annual Art Prize and Art Collection.

Street Art Scene

Discover the vibrant transformation of Kalgoorlie-Boulder's City Centre through the First Nations Art Project – a dynamic initiative celebrating the rich cultural heritage of Western Australia's First Nations people. This outdoor gallery features over 60 artworks, seamlessly integrated into the city's architecture, portraying a diverse range of styles from 3D sculptures to traditional Indigenous dreamtime stories.

Developed in collaboration with local First Nations communities and artists, the project reflects a commitment to authenticity and respect. As you explore the 4km self-guided walking trail, enjoy strategically placed cafes, pubs, and restaurants enhancing your experience.

Embrace the power of art for cultural expression, connection, and healing, fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of First Nations culture among all Australians.

Heartwalk

Enjoy a leisurely stroll through the Kalgoorlie CBD and visit each of the vibrant and contemporary murals that line the streets. Each of these astonishing artworks was created by a by talented artist from the goldfields and beyond. To learn and appreciate a deeper understanding of these beautiful and unique additions there are guided tours available with a local Kalgoorlie artist or enjoy a self-paced wander as you stay informed with a walking trail map.

Abiding by the Public Street Art Act the Kalgoorlie community has revitalised the main precinct by adding a hint of magic and something special to be found and to brighten your day.
