The annual Sunset at the Soundshell concert series will be back in 2022 with an amazing line up of entertainment.
Wednesday, 26 January 2022 – Australia Day and PINked
Hitting the stage for our Australia Day concert is tribute performer PINked who will be rocking out to all your favourite hits from P!NK and Lady Gaga. Performer Sabrina Davies is known for her enthusiasm, powerhouse vocals and uncanny resemblance to musician P!NK, often leaving fans believing they have just experienced an intimate evening with the real star.
Saturday, 12 February 2022 – Eskimo Joe
The most anticipated headliner of the concert series is internationally renowned, West Australian band Eskimo Joe, who will be performing on Saturday 12 February 2022. While successfully straddling the line between commercial success and managing to keep their alternative music roots, Eskimo Joe has racked up a long list of impressive accomplishments. With 6 studio albums under their belts, half of which have debuted at number 1 on the ARIA charts, Eskimo Joe is set to bring the stage alight at Centennial Park for an epic night for the whole community.
Saturday, 26 February 2022 – Death by Denim
Rounding out the tri-concert series is Freo-born indie formation Death by Denim. Closing the series out on Saturday 26 February 2022, Death by Denim are renowned for their honey vocals, dreamy synth and vibrant guitar riffs. Formed in Perth in 2016, the band made up of close friends has made waves in the music industry. They ranked number three on the triple j most played charts, had three sold-out national tours and smashed over one million streams each for hit tracks ‘Wiggy’ and ‘Cigarettes and Honey’.
In line with the State Government vaccination mandate, certain procedures will be in place for the Death by Denim Sunset at the Soundshell concert. To allow for the set-up of the concert, Centennial Park will be closed from 8am on Saturday 26 February. Gates will open at 4:30pm for patrons to enter where all patrons (16 years and over) are required to check-in via the ServiceWA App and show proof of double vaccination. If you provide a printed or phone wallet certificate, photo ID is also required. Patrons are encouraged to bring their own mask in the event they are unable to physical distance and are encouraged to use the hand sanitiser available on site. The two entry points are indicated below, along with a map of the venue layout.
Concerts will be held at Centennial Park from 6pm. Bring down picnic blankets, enjoy BYO beverages (no glass), enjoy the local food vans at each event and soak up the atmosphere while listening to some of WA’s best bands.
Mandatory Patron Vaccination Requirements
The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder wishes to inform the public of changes occurring to the upcoming Death by Denim concert.
Due to the State Government directed COVID-19 regulations have come into effect on Saturday February 5, to attend this concert, attendees must present proof of vaccination at any of the two entry points.
Vaccination certificates can be presented in digital form via the ServiceWA app released by the State Government this week or in hard copy form with photo identification.
The premises will be fenced off with security present to ensure all patrons are abiding by the regulations.
