Are you curious to discover what happens to recycling and waste once it leaves your home?
We invite you to join a special presentation on waste education and sustainability.
This event is brought to you by the City's Waste & Sustainability team in collaboration with Cleanaway, featuring their Head Waste Education Officer, Candice Myers.
Candice will take attendees on a virtual tour of the recycling sorting plant (MRF) in Perth, where all of the city’s recycling is taken. You'll get a behind-the-scenes look at the sorting process and gain a deeper understanding of how recycling works.
There will also be an ‘ask me anything’ session where residents can ask pressing questions about waste and recycling. Whether you're unsure of how to dispose of specific items or want to learn more about waste management strategies, our team will be there to offer guidance and share valuable insights.
We encourage you to bring in any items that you're unsure how to dispose of correctly. Our team will be on hand to provide personalised guidance and help you understand the best way to manage and dispose of these items. We are dedicated to fostering a sustainable community, and we believe that by working together, we can make a positive impact on waste reduction.
As part of the event, the Waste team will showcase their worm farm and compost bin information. Learn about the benefits of composting and how you can implement these practices in your own home. Composting is a simple yet effective way to reduce waste and create nutrient-rich soil for your garden.
Don't miss out on this unique event to expand your knowledge on waste management, recycling, and sustainability.
