The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder is seeking expressions of interest from local businesses that can supply and install Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) infrastructure at residential properties as part of the CCTV Partnership Program.

CCTV is an excellent tool in crime detection as well as deterrence. Whilst the City of Kalgoorlie Boulder is not the primary body responsible for crime prevention, the City is committed to assisting the WA Police Force in managing anti-social behaviour and increasing community safety for residents.

The Program will provide a rebate scheme to residential homeowners that install front-of-property CCTV cameras using the preferred supplier and abide by the set criteria. The City will refund each residential homeowner in the Program with a maximum rebate of $500 or the cost of the installation, whichever is less.

The intention of the Program is to stimulate the local economy by engaging a local business to supply and install the infrastructure, whilst also increasing community surveillance to address antisocial behaviour.

Any businesses that are interested in supplying and installing the infrastructure for this program are encouraged to submit their expression of interest to the City by emailing mailbag@ckb.wa.gov.au or by mail to PO Box 2042, Boulder WA 6432.
