Terms and Conditions of Entry - October 2024 Scan and Win Competition

The promoter of the Go Local First Kalgoorlie-Boulder Promotion is the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder, 577 Hannan Street Kalgoorlie WA 6430

  1. This competition is a promotion run by the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder (“Promoter”).
  2. Entries, information on prizes & how to enter form part of these Terms & Conditions.
  3. Participation in this competition constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
  4. To enter the competition, the entrant must;
    1. Be a current resident of the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder (excluding Elected Members and staff – refer to clause 5).
    2. Not be considered an “excluded entity” as described in clause 6.
  5. City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder Elected Members and staff are ineligible to enter the competition.
    1. An Excluded Entity is not eligible for inclusion in the Competition. Excluded Entities are:
      1. State and/or Federal Government Agencies;
      2. Corporations; and
  6. Entry into the competition must be completed before the closing dates mentioned to go into the draws. No responsibility is accepted for late, lost or misdirected entries.
  7. To enter the competition, entrants must make a purchase at a participating local business and then scan the QR code on the sign at the business and complete the entry form.
  8. There are 4 prizes to be won, $250 Kal Dollar voucher.
  9. The competition commences 7 October and closes 3 November 2024.
  10. The competition will have one winner every week for the duration of the competition, and the winners will be drawn on October 14th, October 21st, October 28th, and November 4th, 2024, at the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder Administration Building, 577 Hannan Street, Kalgoorlie.
  11. The 4 winners will be randomly selected via a computer program, under the supervision of representatives from the City. The promoter’s decision is final & no correspondence will be entered into.
  12. The winners will be notified by a phone call from a City representative.
  13. Photo opportunity of the winner.
  14. Competition results will be published on the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder Facebook page.
  15. The information that entrants provide will be used by the Promoter for the purpose of conducting the competition. By entering this competition entrants consent to the use of their contact details for the purposes described in this clause.
  16. Participant’s privacy will be protected in accordance with the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulders Privacy Management Plan.

1. This competition is a promotion run by the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder (“Promoter”).
2. Entries, information on prizes & how to enter form part of these Terms & Conditions.
3. Participation in this competition constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
4. To enter the competition, the entrant must;

a. Be a current business in the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder (excluding Elected Members and staff – refer to clause 5).
b. Not be considered an “excluded entity” as described in clause 6.

5. City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder Elected Members and staff are ineligible to enter the competition.

9. The competition commences 26 NOVEMBER 2024 and closes 1pm (WST) 14 DECEMBER 2024.
10. All prizes will be drawn at 9am (WST) on 16 DECEMBER 2024, at the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder Administration Building, 577 Hannan Street, Kalgoorlie.
11. 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize winners will be selected by two (2) elected members on 14 DECEMBER 2024. Winners will be notified by 17 DECEMBER 2024.
12. People’s Choice winner will be selected by the most votes at the time of the draw.
13. Voters will have a maximum of three (3) votes each and any votes exceeding this will be discarded. Each vote must be for a different store. There is a maximum of one (1) vote per store per voter.
14. The winners will be notified by phone call of their prize win.
15. There is a photo opportunity for all winners.
16. Small window decals for the four (4) prize winners will be provided for display until 25 DECEMBER 2024.
17. Competition results will be published on the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder Facebook page.

Terms and Conditions - Registration e-Rates Prize Draw 2024/25

For the purposes of these terms and conditions reference to a rate notice also includes reference to any rate instalment notices.

  1. You agree to receive your rate notice by email and understand that a paper document will not be sent.
  2. You confirm you are the registered owner of the property address shown below.
  3. All future rate notices will be in the form of a PDF attachment to an email sent to the email address nominated by you.
  4. If you own more than one property, you will need to register separately for each property. Separate email notifications will be issued matching the number of registrations received.
  5. You must advise any other person to whom paper rate notices are currently being sent that they will no longer receive paper rate notices as a result of your request. Council will not provide this notification.
  6. You must regularly check your nominated email address for rate notices.
  7. You agree that rate notices are deemed served when it reaches your internet service provider, whether or not you have opened or read the email.
  8. An “out of office” notification will not be considered an undeliverable rate notice.
  9. You agree that you will retain the rate notice information yourself electronically or by printing it.
  10. If you change your email address or mobile number, you are required to notify Council. Click Contact us to amend your details.
  11. Should Council receive an electronic “delivery failure” notification from your email address, your request for email delivery will be cancelled and a paper document will be posted to the last advised postal address.
  12. You can withdraw your request for email delivery of your rate notice at any time. Click Unsubscribe.

Terms and Conditions - eRates Competition 2024/25

  1. This competition is a promotion run by the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder (“Promoter”), ABN 63 711 737 609.
  2. Entries and information on prizes and how to enter form part of these Terms and Conditions.
  3. Participation in this competition constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
  4. To enter the competition, the entrant must;
  5. City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder Elected Members and staff are ineligible to enter the competition. 
  6. An Excluded Entity is not eligible for inclusion in the Competition. Excluded Entities are:
  7. The draw will take place at 10.00am WST on the 9 October 2024, at City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder Administration Building, 577 Hannan Street Kalgoorlie WA 6430.
  8. One entry will be awarded per registered Assessment Number. One Assessment Number will be drawn at random and its owner as shown on the Annual Rates & Charges Notice will be deemed the winner. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  9. The cash prize value is a $500 and will be rewarded in the form of a VISA Credit Card.

  3. Participation in this competition constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
  4. To enter the competition, the entrant must;
    • Be a current individual ratepayer of the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder (excluding Elected Members and staff - refer to clause 5).
    • Pay their 2024/25 rates in full by the due dates displayed on their annual rates billing notice:
      • 1st prize is $7,000 Cash - Payment due by 10.00pm WST, 16 September 2024
      • 2nd prize is $2,000 Cash - Payment due by 10.00pm WST, 23 September 2024
      • 3rd prize is $1,000 Cash - Payment due by 10.00pm WST, 30 September 2024 and
    • Not be considered an “excluded entity” as described in clause 6.
  5. City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder Elected Members and staff are ineligible to enter the competition.
  6. An Excluded Entity is not eligible for inclusion in the Competition. Excluded Entities are:
    • State and/or Federal Government Agencies;
    • Corporations; and
    • Property owners of non-rateable land as per Section 6.26(2) of the Local Government Act 1995.
  7. Payment must be received before the closing dates mentioned to go into the draws. No responsibility is accepted for late, lost or misdirected payments.
  8. The competition commences 1 July 2024 and closes 10.00pm WST, 30 September 2024.
  9. The competition will be drawn at 10.00am (WST) on 9 October 2024, at the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder Administration Building, 577 Hannan Street, Kalgoorlie.
  10. Three winners will be randomly selected via a computer program, under the supervision of representatives from the City & the National Australia Bank. Each entrant is eligible to win only one of the three prize draws. The promoter’s decision is final & no correspondence will be entered into.
  11. The winners will be notified by phone, email & registered mail of their prize win.
  12. The 1stprize winner will be invited to attend a Rates Prize Draw photo session at a date to be advised.
  13. The prize winners will receive their cash payment via an EFT transaction into their nominated bank account.
