Celebrating 30 Years of Sheds
Past Event

The C.Y O’Connor Men’s Shed, in association with the Australian Men's Shed Association (AMSA) is gearing up to celebrate 30 Years of Men's Sheds.
The Men’s Shed movement has its origins in Goolwa, South Australia, where the first community shed was created in February 1993. Today, with the guidance of the Australian Men’s Shed Association, it has expanded to over 2500 sheds across 12 countries.
“30 Years of Sheds is a celebration of three decades of connection, community and camaraderie built on the shoulders of Shedders around the world”
AMSA Executive Officer, David Helmers
Kalgoorlie-Boulder Celebration
Having opened its doors in 2010, the C.Y O’Connor Men’s Shed of Kalgoorlie-Boulder connects our community, offering a social space for everybody to share passions, learn skills and have a good old laugh.
At the City we're proud to support one of WA's most active Men's Shed, being one of the few local governments to offer full-time employment opportunities at the Shed and provide financial support for services and workshops. We look forward to decades more years of fun together!
