From Boom to Bust and Back Again: The Goldfields in the 1920’s

How did local events one hundred years ago shape the Goldfields today? An outdoor exhibition featuring stories from the 1920’s. Also: the 1934 Riots, the Mighty Steam Navy, In His Own Words: The Wartime Letters of Private Stephen Grace, Forever B.U.F.S and Boulder City Fire Station.

Step back in time as the Boulder kids take you on a tour of Burt Street, as it was in the 1950’s. Follow the trail, find out what was sold in each shop and return to the Boulder Town Hall for a prize!

Goldfields First Contact Period Interpretative Exhibition
Goldfields Aboriginal Language Centre
Goldfields First Contact Stories is an interpretative exhibition of First Nations peoples about their first contact with Europeans. Some people were born in the bush and lived a traditional life. Some people were removed from their families and placed in missions. Some were taken away. These are their stories.
This event will be held in the Kanowna Hall at the Boulder Railway Station complex. This is a chance to visit the hall and enjoy a Devonshire tea.
