Meet the Presenters
Narelle Nettelbeck
Narelle has worked in the Education and Care Sector for over 30 years in many roles, including service director and Tafe lecturer. She is a qualified educator and trainer/assessor. Narelle is currently studying the Bachelor of Education, Early Childhood Education and Care. She is always looking to learn new skills and to add to her knowledge.
Not only does Narelle own and operate a successful consulting business, Bugs and Bare Feet Early Childhood Consulting, she still works regularly in the sector as an educator as she believes it is important to remain current, real and relatable.
Narelle is passionate about relational pedagogy and aims to role model and teach educators that this is what really matters, i.e. connection, relationship and responsive interactions as priority over any other tasks.
Andrea Broughton
Andrea was born in the UK, and first qualified as a teacher there. After spending three years in South Africa, she and her family arrived in Australia in 1999. She has taught preschool and primary aged children in all these countries.
She founded Early Childhood Outreach in 2018 to support educators in rural and remote areas of Victoria and is now supporting educators across the country.
Her passion and skills in inclusion have grown over the past 18 years during which she has worked in Early Intervention and Inclusion Support, and now, since 2018, as an Inclusion Consultant running Early Childhood Outreach. She identifies as Neurodivergent.
Andrea has completed training in Sensory Processing Disorder, Hanen communication training programs, DIR Floortime, Karen Stagnitti’s Learn To Play, Bridges out of Poverty, Family Partnerships and ASD in ECEC (DET and Monash).
Tanya Tucker
Tanya is a proud Wangkatja woman, daughter, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend.
Her family bloodline covers various areas of the Goldfields-Esperance region, also from Wiluna through to South Australia. Tanya grew up living in different places throughout the Goldfields Region; Norseman, Widgiemooltha, Kalgoorlie, Menzies and Coolgardie.
As well as a Wangkatja Language Teacher, Two-Way Science Teacher, KindiLink Teacher, Tanya is Coordinator for the Goldfields Aboriginal Language Network, business owner of Ninga Nunthalee, and author of the Ninga Nunthalee Wangkatja Series.
Currently, Tanya is teaching and implementing an eight-week, one-and-a-half-hour Language course at the WA Country Health Service Goldfields.

Adrian Pattra-McLean
Adrian is a professional Educator, founder of Farran Street Education and Owner of Farran Street Quality Childcare Centre. With a Master in Education (Educational Psychology) Adrian believes that, developing and supporting high-quality, passionate Educators in early learning services, is the key to quality outcomes for children.
Adrian’s service to the community has been recognized with an Order of Australia Commendation.
He is the Educational Director of Farran Street Education and together with his family Adrian owns and operates a long day care centre in Sydney’s lower north shore.
Adrian facilitates learning focused on Leadership, Management and HR within the Early Education and Care sector.

Come along either on your own or with your family day care children for a child-focused session on Engaging Environments delivered by Narelle Nettelbeck of Bugs and Bare Feet. Three two-hour slots available to choose from: 9am-11am, 11am-1pm and 1pm-3pm.
