The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder is commencing a review of the City’s Strategic Community Plan and is calling on residents and businesses to share their vision for the next 10 years.
A series of community consultation activities will take place between March and April, including the Community and Business Priorities Surveys (MARKYT® Scorecards), for residents to provide feedback on the City’s services.
The City will also host the inaugural City Marketplace at the Kalgoorlie Town Hall on Saturday, 15 March, where residents can engage with City staff, learn about City services, and ask questions about upcoming projects and long-term plans.
The City Marketplace on 15 March 2025 (9am - 12pm) will feature information stands from City departments, machinery displays and interactive activities, face-to-face discussions with Elected Members, and a Kids Zone with playground concept feedback, free face painting, mini golf, and more.
Mayor Glenn Wilson said the City is committed to listening, learning, and continuously improving based on community feedback.
“This year’s consultation is particularly significant as we update our Strategic Community Plan, which will guide the City’s direction for the next decade. Your input will assist in developing priority areas for the City.”
As part of the consultation activities, Mayor Wilson also said the Elected Members are excited to host Coffee Catch-up sessions, where small groups can discuss their priorities in an informal setting with their choice of Elected Member.
“As a Council, we’re here to listen. We want to hear directly from the people who live and work here about what they think Kalgoorlie-Boulder looks like over the next 10 years.”
Pop-up feedback stalls will also be available at key shopping precincts and local events, making it easier for residents to share their thoughts; dates and times will be provided soon.
It's a big conversation. Let's have it together.
