Draft Local Planning Policy Alfresco Dining Available for Inspection

Pursuant to Schedule 2 of the Planning and Development (Local Planning Schemes) Regulations 2015, Council has adopted the draft Local Planning Policy Alfresco Dining (the policy) for the purpose of commencing public advertising on 28 October 2024.
The objectives of the policy are:
- To streamline planning processes and remove barriers to enable development and support new and existing businesses
- To encourage activation and thriving places that respond to the City’s unique character and identity.
- To ensure that any alfresco dining area is not detrimental to the surrounding uses in terms of interference with pedestrian or vehicular access, visual amenity, and the areas do not create excessive noise and rubbish.
The City invites you to inspect and comment on the policy. Details of the policy are available to the public at: yoursay.ckb.wa.gov.au (online) or 577 Hannan Street, Kalgoorlie WA 6430 (hard copy).
All submissions must be made on or before 4:30pm AWST, 6 December 2024.
Submissions should be marked ‘Local Planning Policy Alfresco Dining’ and addressed to the Chief Executive Officer, City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder, PO Box 2024, Boulder WA 6432 in writing or emailed to mailbag@ckb.wa.gov.au.
